Description/Job Summary

The Welding and Fabrication Technician position works on a team responsible for the manufacture/assembly of the Company's food safety intervention solutions.  This position focuses on the sanitary welding, fabrication and assembly of the framework, piping and cabinetry of the Company's products.  *THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN ROGERS WITH THE INTENTIONS OF THE CANDIDATE MOVING TO THE LITTLE ROCK AREA*

Responsibilities/Duties

1. This position works on a team responsible for the manufacture, assembly and testing of the Company's food safety intervention systems. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

2. This position performs needed welding and fabrication of the cabinetry, framework and piping and system testing prior to shipment to customer sites. This duty is performed daily, about 80% of the time.

3. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED

Basic: Word Processing/Typing

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; welding, equipment operation, etc, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
